10TH CERTIFICATE COURSE ON ENVIRONMENTAL JOURNALISM
Commencement: Each Year January and August.

Applications will be received from applicants for the above mentioned course
to be conducted by the Sri Lanka Environmental Journalists Forum(SLEJF).
 
The course is designed to give the participants a wide ranging
knowledge on aspects such as
Creative Writing, Media Ethics,Development Journalism, Investigative
Journalism.
Cinema,Poet,News,Feature and column writing, Language Using,
Environmental Management, Pollution Control, Air Pollution, Water
Pollution , Solid Waste Management,
Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA), International Environmental
Conventions,Environmental Economics,
Bio diversity Conservation, Global Warming and Ozone Depletion and Forest etc,

Resource persons will be drawn from Universities, Leading Newspaper
Editors and
other Government agencies,and will consist of highly experienced persons
with extensive practical experience in the environmental and/ or
Journalism field.

Course Duration: 12 months
13 Saturdays [half day] commencing in January 2010
time: Saturdays 9.30am to 1.00 pm

Qualifications: Pass in GCE A/L at least 3 subjects Pass.

Venue: National Library Board Auditorium , Colombo 07.

Course Fee: Rs. 8,000/= from each participant to cover only the part cost.
